About this deal

For Jurassic World Dominion's 4K Blu-ray, as with the previous Jurassic World movies and indeed most of Universal's output, Dolby Atmos is eschewed in favour of that other, less popular 3D surround track flavour, DTS: X, providing impressive HD object-oriented audio accompaniment. Like the prologue, Battle at Big Rock is something that Universal released ahead of time to build hype for Dominion. Abrams contrives to conclude Disney's trilogy in George Lucas' universe, rounding out an up-and-down 9-film series in a scattershot approach to satisfying a demanding audience, and turning in a feature that, at the least, looks and sounds stunning in native 4K with Dolby Atmos.

As for what’s being included in the extended edition, perhaps the most exciting bit is that it will have the film’s original prologue. The news articles, Tweets, and blog posts do not represent IMDb's opinions nor can we guarantee that the reporting therein is completely factual. And of course, there are ever bigger, ever better, killers, like the Giganotosaurus, and the extremely unpleasant Therizinosaurus, which means 'scythe lizard’ ~ you will quickly see why! And that there lies the problem with this sequel trilogy - we just wanted to see these three all along. It doesn’t take long into Jurassic World Dominion to see that the brilliance of Jurassic Park has been lost along the way.

For more about Jurassic World: Dominion and the Jurassic World: Dominion Blu-ray release, see Jurassic World: Dominion Blu-ray Review published by Martin Liebman on August 18, 2022 where this Blu-ray release scored 3. Alan Grant and Iain Malcolm into the mix for a shot of old-school in the final entry in the Jurassic World trilogy.CREATING A PLAGUE - Laura Dern and Bryce Dallas Howard discuss the enormous locusts featured in Jurassic World Dominion and the creature effects team reveals how they were created and deployed. Jurassic World Dominionis running towards its home release date with the speed of a velociraptor, and Screen Rant is exclusively debuting a behind-the-scenes clip from the Blu-ray bonus features to celebrate the news. It wasn't 1993's Jurassic Park - hell nothing has come close - but it was a fun effort, leading to a whole new trilogy which, again much like the Star Wars features, struggled with not knowing where the hell it was going.

Within minutes of losing Maisie, they manage to join forces with the CIA (the explanation being that most of the ex-employees from Jurassic World have joined the security agencies) on a secret mission to infiltrate illegal dino-smuggling before Grady is chased by weaponised velociraptors through the streets of Malta. The contrast balance is somewhat subdued and restrained, supplying the action with an interestingly grey, dreary appeal, but whites are nonetheless clean and vivid with crisp highlights in the hottest areas. There’s also an over-reliance on CGI, which looks more like a crutch than a device to give wonder to the audience.

On its own, this is still very good, and switching on my setup’s DTS Neural:X function helped give a little more space to the channels, but you can still feel the difference. Cinematographer John Schwartzman shot the movie with a combination of 35mm film, 65mm film, and VistaVision. Meanwhile, Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles as adoptive parents to the world's dino problem but provide little to no significance to the plot's larger themes. A New Breed of VFX (480i, 6:16): Exploring the process of how some of the film's most incredible visuals were made. the creatures are insanely complex and their interactions within the environment are second-to-none.
